"Mother's Diet May Affect Children's Behavior and Intelligence"
The diet during pregnancy and early life can influence a child's behavior and intelligence,so expectant mothers should watch what they eat. First of all,there are many influential factors on emotional and behavioral development of children from before birth to age nine. Folic acid is one of the most important factors affecting because it can reduce the risk of behavioral problems during early childhood. Also,vitamins, breast milk versus formula milk, iron, iodine and omega-3 fatty acid are affect on emotional and behavioral development of children. Second,there are other factors that can also affect children's mental performance include the parent's educational level, socioeconomic status of the parents, age of the parents and the genetic background of the mother and child. Finally, It is important for mothers to get good nutrition during pregnancy and the first years of a child's life ,because the brain takes a long time to mature.
